Recipe:
Ingredients:
¾ cup of water
2 tablespoons of flour
1 teaspoon of sugar
½ small apple (sliced)
You will also need: glass jar, lid, whisk.
First sterilize the jar and the lid in the preheated oven at 300F for 30 min. Then wash, core, and slice half an apple.
Mix water, sugar, and flour in a jar, add apple slices. Put lid on the jar but don’t tighten it.
Leave in a dark and warm place for 2 days.
One batch of yeast (1 cup or 200 ml) makes up for 35 ounces of flour.
Yeast can be used for making bread as well as desserts.
Stored in the fridge can last for up to two weeks.
